Break out your best red dress or duds and plan to attend this year’s West Michigan Go Red For Women Luncheon on Wednesday, Feb. 25. The event kicks off at 10 a.m. at the downtown J.W. Marriott. Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan is a sponsor.
Arrive early to network and mingle, and to browse the “Purse-inalities” silent auction tables featuring fashionable purses and entertainment packages to bid on.
Tommy Dylan and Brook Taylor from Star 105.7 will host the luncheon, which features keynote speaker Peggy Kline, motivational speaker and humorist for women. She’ll present “Treating Yourself Like Royalty”, a talk about creating the noble and majestic life you deserve. The program is based on Kline’s book of the same name and will also include tips on how women can be heart smart.
Go Red For Women is the American Heart Association’s nationwide movement that celebrates the energy, passion, and power women have to band together and wipe out heart disease. Local luncheons, including the West Michigan event, raise money for research and education of heart disease in women.
Will you be going red for women at the West Michigan luncheon? Tickets can be purchased by calling the American Heart Association at 616-482-1503 or visiting www.grandrapidsgrfw.org.
