August is here and that means juicy and perfectly sweet peaches in Michigan. This fuzzy stone fruit can be found in cobblers and other sweets, but by itself it offers a few health benefits. One peach provides 17% of the daily value of vitamin C and 10% of the daily value of vitamin A as well as a bit of potassium, niacin and copper. Along with some vitamins and minerals, peaches are rich in antioxidants to help protect cells and fight against free radicals.
