Smoothie for upset stomachs
Whether you’ve got a bun in the oven or your stomach just won’t settle down, the owners of Malamiah Juice Bar in Grand Rapids swear this smoothie recipe helps.
Even though it’s no longer officially on their menu, customers still stop by craving the shop’s custom “Prego Smoothie”.
Co-owner Anissa Eddie said the fresh ginger and mint work well to calm an upset stomach, while the yogurt and banana base provide a comforting treat. Here’s how you can make your own soothing smoothie at home.
Prego Smoothie
Ingredients:
  • 1/8 cup yogurt*
  • ¾ green apple
  • 2 sprigs mint
  • ½ inch slice of fresh ginger
  • ½ banana
  • 1 cup ice
Blend ingredients together and enjoy!
*Malamiah uses Stonyfield brand low-fat French vanilla yogurt.
