Fall is a season of iconic bests in Michigan. Color tours, cooler weather, football, apple orchards, Halloween, corn mazes and much more. There are even a number of food ingredients that have become season staples. Pumpkins, apples, squashes, cinnamon and nutmeg, and sweet potatoes all lend themselves to the very best fall has to offer.
Fall food ingredients are known by a few traditional favorites. However, there are countless unique alternatives for using fall’s best ingredients in your next meal. Classic recipes include: pumpkin pie with pumpkins, apple cider or apple pie with apples, squash and sweet potato casseroles and mash, and cinnamon with just about anything.
