Air Fryer Chickpea Recipe – Two Ways

Air fryer chickpeas
A great source of protein and fiber, chickpeas are a delicious healthy snack sure to keep you full until your next meal. While cooked chickpeas are often soft in texture, air frying this nutritional powerhouse offers a crunch to eat by hand or on a salad instead of croutons.
Serving Amount
Ingredients
  • 15 oz can chickpeas, drained and rinsed

  • Spray olive oil

  • 2 tsp granulated sugar

  • 12 tsp cinnamon

  • 12 tsp garlic powder

  • 14 tsp cayenne pepper

  • 1 Juice from lemon wedge

  • Fresh ground pepper and salt to taste

Instructions
  • Step 1

    Drain and rinse chickpeas. Pat dry.  

  • Step 2

    Place chickpeas in air fryer basket and spray with oil. Set temperature to 390 degrees F and timer to 17 minutes.  

  • Step 3

    Shake air fryer every 5 minutes or so.  

  • Step 4

    When chickpeas are finished cooking, spray with oil apply spice mixture of choice. Toss or mix to combine.
