#MITrailsWeek: Clinton River Spillway Path

| 1 min read
This is a short little trail that runs right along side of the Clinton River, right off of 16 Mile Road in Harrison Township. This scenic route is great for running, jogging, or walking, but is used mostly by bike riders. The path is only two miles in length, but connects with the Metro Parkway Trail which is much longer and stretches all the way to Metro Beach.

The path provides a nice view of the river and even has small pathways to cut down to access the water. Off of this paved trails are smaller woodland trails that take you throughout the greenery for short, off the path adventures. The path cuts under 16 Mile Road and gives access to a bridge that cuts over the river. You can access this trail through Shady Side Park in Mt. Clemens (Barbara St. and Shadyside Dr.) and at a small park at 26784 Ballard Street.
