Are you looking for a great way to enjoy the summer months? It’s the perfect time to soak up the sun and have a little bit of fun! Whether it’s with family or friends, a great way to enjoy the beautiful weather is to visit one of Michigan’s many splash parks.
Michigan has numerous outdoor and indoor water parks scattered throughout the state, so no matter the weather, it’s always bound to be an exciting adventure.
Thunder Falls
Thunder Falls is an outdoor water park located in Mackinaw City. Their twelve water slides blasts you through hundreds of feet of water, including speed and body slides. For those who enjoy a calmer experience, Thunder Falls features a wave pool and lazy river. Also, an interactive play structure is perfect for younger children.
Michigan Adventure
Michigan Adventure is located in Muskegon and is known as Michigan’s largest combined amusement and water park. The park includes family fun for everyone featuring numerous water slides, net bridges, a drenching bucket, wave pool, lazy river and a lagoon.
If the weather is less than stellar, there are plenty of indoor water parks to waste the day away!
Avalanche Bay Indoor Water Park
Avalanche Bay is Michigan’s largest indoor water park, located in Boyne Falls. It was voted best by the readers of The Detroit News. This indoor park is 88,000 square feet featuring multiple slides, rides, kid pools, climbing walls and a lazy river. Avalanche Bay even includes a surf simulator.
The Great Wolf Lodge
The Great Wolf Lodge is one of the more popular parks in Michigan. Located in Traverse City it is a 38,000 square ft. facility including jaw-dropping slides for the thrill seekers and zero-depth entry for the little ones. The Great Wolf Lodge also includes an arcade, children spa and mini golf course.
Zehnder’s Splash Village Hotel and Indoor Water Park
Splash Village is Mid Michigan’s largest indoor water park, located in Frankenmuth. With a 30,000 square foot facility, there is something fun for the entire family. Splash Village includes two four-story water-slides and 146 hotel rooms including 74 luxurious family suites. Also included is the world famous Zehnder’s of Frankenmuth restaurant, The Fortress championship golf course, and Zehnder’s market place.
For those who are looking to enjoy the indoor and outdoor splash park experience, Full Blast is the place for you!
Full Blast
Full Blast is a part of Flash Flood Water Park and is located in Battle Creek. The outdoor experience includes two 200 ft. outdoor water slides, a water playground and inflatable jungle and slide. The indoor experience offers two 100 ft indoor water slides, water wars, a trampoline and a basketball court.
Splash parks are just one way to get active and have fun these summer months. Bring the family or plan a day with friends, either way you’re in for a good time!
